My 53rd. Birthday is just around the corner, and I wanted to look back and see what (if anything), I have learned during the second half century of my life.
After hours of reflections, here is what I have come up with:
Nature is a Mother.
Celibacy is not hereditary.
The other line always moves faster.
Never play leapfrog with a Unicorn. Even if you win, you’re going to get it in the end anyway.
A bird in the hand is safer than one overhead.
When in doubt, mumble. When in trouble, delegate.
If it jams—force it. If it breaks, it needed replacing anyway.
Everyone has a scheme for getting rich that will not work.
In order to get a loan, you must first prove you don’t need it.
